The Many Faces of Cannabis Part 2
In my opinion, if we’re ever going to see actual change regarding cannabis laws in the United States, it’s going to take massive amounts of education. From education surrounding the science of cannabis to disproving the stigmas associated with cannabis consumers education is and always will be key.
That is why last week I decided that I was going to start a series of articles here on Expert Joints known as The Many Faces of Cannabis. This series will feature individuals who consume cannabis for medical or recreational purposes who are helping to remove the stigma that cannabis consumers are lazy, unhygienic, uneducated, and unmotivated individuals.
Last week I had the opportunity to cover Amy Mellen, Riley Cote, and a beautiful young lady known as Supernova! This week I bring you 3 more faces of cannabis that are breaking the stigma and stereotypes of cannabis consumers.
Jane West is a name that has become synonymous with women in cannabis. This is much deserved seeing how Jane, in my opinion, is one of the most passionate, dedicated and informed women entrepreneurs in the cannabis sector. Jane’s entrance into the cannabis industry came after Colorado rolled out its recreational cannabis program. A few short months after its implementation Jane started hosting cannabis events such as dinner parties for her friends. The events that she was hosting started to quickly sell out and received international media attention.
Before venturing into cannabis, Jane was rising through the ranks as a corporate event planner. After seeing her vaping on national news however, she was let go from her position. This is when she dived into the cannabis industry head-on and founded the largest professional networking organization in the cannabis industry known as Women Grow. She is also the founder and CEO of her self-titled cannabis lifestyle brand, Jane West. Jane isn’t just a cannabis industry entrepreneur she is also a mother and an inspiration to individuals around the world. To learn more about Jane check out her website .
Jamie Cooper is an inspiring cannabis entrepreneur. With an extensive background in media and a passion for cannabis patients and consumers, Jamie has blazed the cannabis scene in the state of Michigan. Alexis was diagnosed with epilepsy at a young age, and after exhausting all traditional medical treatments without success, her parents moved her to Colorado to explore the option of cannabis therapy. Since moving to Colorado, Alexis has a completely different quality of life and has not only found relief from her epilepsy but has become an inspiration for many within the culture.
Most recently Alexis has been making the as part of a massive lawsuit against Jeff sessions and the United States federal government which is looking to remove cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act.
