Colorado Cannabis Concoctions

Colorado Cannabis Concoctions

Colorado is like the Amsterdam of America. There is a plethora of cannabis products for you to try. If you are looking to try cannabis your bound to find what you’re looking for here. There’s everything from topicals and tinctures to edibles, concentrates, and flower.

Luckily for me, I’m in Colorado for the next two weeks. I thought since I was here that I’d talk about some of the cannabis products that I like. My first few days here in Colorado I was a bit sore. Before leaving to come here, I had to mow the lawn. I live in Tennessee, so it’s more like mowing a hillside or mountain. Not only do I mow my yard, but I also mow my father-in-law’s and his brothers too. Between the three yards, I manage to damage the cartilage in my sternum.

Colorado is the perfect place to help reduce inflammation. One of the first things I did when I arrived was get my hands on a bottle of Holy Anointing Oil. This topical is my go-to for daily use when I’m visiting Colorado. I wish the rest of the country would hurry up and legalize so we could have it back home.

THC and CBD both have amazing anti-inflammatory properties. In fact, THC is said to have anti-inflammatory properties that are 20 times stronger than aspirin and twice as strong as hydrocortisone. CBD also has impressive anti-inflammatory abilities. The NCBI is full of reports verifying this information. With that in mind, I turned to a concentrate by Native Roots called Colorado Sour Tsunami CBD. A few puffs of this stuff and the sternum pains I was feeling started to subside.

After getting my THC and CBD up, it was time to turn to some tasty dabbage by Wax Poetic concentrates. Bruce Banner # 3 and Uprise OG came together for a delicious pungent pairing. Strawberry Kush also was on point by Wax Poetic concentrates. Both were PHO, and I will contest they were proper.

I was feeling pretty good about this time, and the munchies started to set in. It was getting to be about 7: 30 I think it was more like dinner time. Anyway, I decided to whip up some southwestern chicken and rice. Cannabis infused of course. Since I had the luxury of grabbing some cannabutter, I decided to kick my chicken and rice a nickel. The cannabutter I utilized came in a 1600mg, 4oz container and was from Green Street Butter company.

For the recipe I used 2 tablespoons of butter as it called for by substituting the medicated butter I picked up. It took my normal recipe over the top. The butter you could smell lightly in the air as cooking, however it was not overwhelming within the final dish. In fact, I would say that it complimented the dish very well.

For dessert that night I decided to try a sweet edible called Not Your Granny’s Apple cake pop. This is a vegan-friendly 300mg apple cake, with an apple pie filling center and a sweet decorated coating made by Mile High Cake Pops in Colorado. Each one is handmade. If you like sweet treats and love Apple, you’re going to love this one. I know I did. For being 300 mg, it actually tasted good. If you eat edibles, you’ll sometimes know the strong ones don’t always taste that great.

To wrap up my evening, I decided since I had gone all out I would end my night with a cannabis-infused bath. Coda Signature THC infused bath bombs were my choice to try. Not only did these things look cool and smell good, after an hour of soaking I felt terrific. I used the lavender bath bomb to help settle in for the evening.

While lounging in the tub soaking up that Coda THC lavender bath bomb, I blazed a fatty. My choice was Gorilla Glue #4 from Grow Life in Colorado Springs Colorado. This strain initially produced by the legends at GG Farms is one that creates a party in my mouth and delivers the buzz I’m looking for every time.

Maybe in the morning when I wake up, I’ll add some cannabutter to my toast. A little cannabis-infused toast with some fresh fruit, a well-put-together joint, and a cup of coffee from Boyer’s coffee sounds like the perfect way to start my day here in Colorado.

All of the products mentioned above can be found at Native Roots, Growlife, Tree of Wellness, and JP Wellness medical cannabis dispensaries in Colorado Springs, CO. Many of them are also available at retailers across Colorado!
